Our Story

Where it started

Before Pine Point Construction

Before Pine Point Construction LLC ever existed, we were just a couple with a dream: a home that reflected who we were and how we wanted to live. We spent months planning every inch of it, budgeting, designing, troubleshooting, and redrawing the plans until they finally felt right. Every detail mattered, because this wasn't just a house. It was the beginning of our future.

Our lot overlooked a quiet lake and was home to three towering oak trees. Preserving those oaks while still capturing the best views became a personal mission of its own. It meant revising layouts and starting over more than once rather than settling for a plan that only worked on paper. Exhausting at times, but worth every bit of it.

Framing My Own Home

When construction began, I was working full time as a framing carpenter, so my days started early on job sites and ended late building our own home: framing, finishing, learning every trade I could along the way. I had already framed plenty of homes, but framing my own hit differently. It wasn't just measurements and materials anymore. It was choosing where our family would gather, how the light would fall across the living room, which wall would hold our son's growth chart. Every board carried meaning, and for the first time the work felt personal in a way it never had before.

The Sunset Ritual

One ritual stuck with us the whole way through. Every evening we'd pause to watch the sunset over the lake before switching the work lights back on and getting back to it. That pause reminded us why we were doing any of this in the first place. It's the same sunset we still see out our windows every evening, and it reminds us of the exact same thing today: great construction isn't only about finishes and square footage. It's about how a space makes you feel, what it lets you enjoy, and the memories it ends up holding. That's what we look at with every client's project now: not just the layout or the finish list, but the budget, the lifestyle, and the life that's actually going to happen inside those walls.

Great construction isn't only about finishes and square footage.

It's about how a space makes you feel, what it lets you enjoy, and the memories it ends up holding.

From That Home to Pine Point Construction

That home, and everything it taught us, became the inspiration behind Pine Point Construction LLC. Since then, I've built hands-on experience across the trades: framing, plumbing, heating, and everything in between. I've lived this process from every angle: tradesman, project manager, and contractor, on top of the homeowner's side I already knew firsthand. What I learned building my own home is what I still believe today: quality craftsmanship at every step saves time, reduces cost, and delivers a result that actually holds up.

Today, when we take on a new project, we bring that same care into every detail, no matter the size or scope. We plan together the way my wife and I once planned our own home, talking through the budget and the priorities and the tradeoffs until the plan actually fits. We do what we say we're going to do, and we don't cut corners just because no one would notice. Every project still gets the same hands-on attention, backed by experience across the trades.
